To support and assist the Transport Managers by operating all Transport admin duties so that the depot targets are met in such a manner as to provide the best possible service to our customers.

Please note this role is located in our Blanchardstown location.

What you'll be doing:

Roles and responsibilities:

  • To maintain consultation and communication with all key stakeholders, managers, drivers and customers as well as other relevant department managers and colleagues.
  • Distribution of delivery paperwork and control of PDA handhelds
  • Creation and collation of departmental statistics
  • Resolving driver queries
  • Support and liaise with external contractors to ensure country locations are delivered in the most cost-efficient way.
  • Maximise fleet utilisation
  • Onboarding new drivers
  • Support completion of mandatory driver training
  • Support on the auditing, monitoring, implementing, and ensuring compliance with all relevant transport legislation including tachograph compliance
  • Cost control
  • General administrative duties
  • Monitoring Bluetree applications

What we're looking for:

Experience, Skills and Education

 

Essential:

  • A high degree of computer literacy including extensive knowledge of spreadsheets
  • Excellent Communication Skills – both verbal and written
  • The ability to provide high standards of customer service and operational performance
  • 1 – 2 years working in a transport environment

 Desirable:

  • Experience with MS Excel and MS Word 
  • Working knowledge of driver’s hours/ tachographs/ transport procedures
  • Up-to-date legislation for transport
